The Chief Professional Officer reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for providing leadership and direction in overseeing the operation of the organization in support of our mission and goals. The Chief Professional Officer will work in partnership with the Board of Directors to secure resources, ensure current grant obligations are met, build partnerships and assist in overall marketing and public relations.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

Energetic youth workers to lead activities and provide positive supervision for groups of children. The position is perfect for college students (especially education or other youth-related majors) and teachers looking for after-school work. Keys to success in this position include a positive, high-energy outlook; experience working with youth grades K-12 or college courses in a youth-related field; and ability to serve as a positive role model for young people. Experience planning, leading and supervising activities for children that are fun, educational, age-appropriate and structured is especially helpful.
You’ll work 20 hours per week (to include scheduled Club times, program planning and prep time) at a pay rate of up to $10/hour depending on education and experience. This position requires you to have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to the site location.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Massena (BGCM) has a specific process by which we recruit, select and hire qualified candidates. Q. How long are openings listed? How long do I have to apply?
A. Some positions will have a closing date listed in the application instructions, while others will simply remain open until filled.
Q. How do I know my application was received?
A. If you send your application to the specified e-mail address, you should receive a reply confirming receipt. If you submit an application and do not receive a confirmation by the close of the next business day, please follow up to make sure we did receive your submission.
Q. How long does it take for a hiring decision to be made? Will I receive updates about the process and selection of candidates?
A. After a position is listed, it takes several weeks or more to review applications, select candidates for interviews, conduct the interviews, and make a hiring decision. Unfortunately, due to the number of applications we receive, we cannot communicate with each candidate about the status of any given opening. Those candidates that are interviewed will be alerted about the final decision.

A. Our goal is to find the best candidate for any given position — a great fit for the BGCM and for the job seeker. Candidates should take time to review the position, BGCM in general, and the youth services industry. The Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission is “to enable all young people especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” Most of our employees demonstrate a commitment to a cause and have an understanding of the virtues and sacrifices made while working in a direct-service or support position within a non-profit. Candidates simply seeking employment without these fundamental motivations or without a strong desire to contribute to the organization and its mission are likely not the right fit for employment with the BGCM.
