On Tuesday, April 28th, the Boys & Girls Club of Massena is pleased to welcome SUNY Canton student Pierre Nzuah as a guest presenter during the Club’s Connections block at our Jefferson School location.
Pierre is from Cameroon and received a SUNY Chancellor’s Award this year for Student Excellence. He graduates in May with an engineering degree and will resume studies at Clarkson in the fall. In the meantime, he has started a nonprofit that seeks to provide educational assistance to children in Cameroon.
He’ll share with Club kids what it was like to grow up in Cameroon, and the obstacles that kids there face in getting a quality education. In return for his time, the Club is collecting a donation of school supplies in support of his efforts at home.
Please click to CONTACT US if you are interested in making a donation of school supplies for the Club to give Pierre.

Volunteers are needed for the Boys & Girls Club of Massena to work with elementary school students in grades 4-6 at our Jefferson Elementary School location. The Club operates from 3 to 6 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can volunteer for one or both days, one week a month or the entire month — all we ask is that you commit to being there for the full three hours on the day or days you work.
The pre-launch program began in October and the response has been GREAT … We have nearly 100 members of the Club now! And, the more volunteers we have, the more kids we can serve. As a volunteer, you would join our paid professional staff members in being there to help these amazing kids.
Learn more on our Volunteer page and get started helping those who need us most TODAY!
